Aleksander Horawa joined the Mathematical Institute in October 2025 as a postdoc in the Arithmetic Geometry and Representation Theory group (Assistant to Tasho Kaletha). Previously, he was a postdoc at the University of Oxford and a PhD student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
He is a number theorist, broadly interested in automorphic forms, arithmetic geometry, and the Langlands Program. In his free time, he plays football (currently for Fortuna Bonn) and enjoys other sports like skiing, snowboarding, and windsurfing.
