Sven van Nigtevecht joined HSM in February 2026 as a postdoc. He works with the Topology group at the University of Bonn starting from October 2025, under Prof. Markus Hausmann.
His research interests lie in (stable) homotopy theory, focussing on topological modular forms and synthetic spectra. He received his PhD in 2025 from Utrecht University, having been supervised by Lennart Meier.
