The Bonn Bonn Mathematical Society (Bonner Mathematische Gesellschaft, BMG) supports and promotes mathematics at the University of Bonn, for example by organizing events, awarding prizes for outstanding bachelor theses. or by supporting the mathematical institute library. Every year, the Bonn Mathematical Society organizes an entertaining event, usually on the evening before Corpus Christi.
The BMG's last event was a mathematical pub quiz called "Tangente trifft Tresen" (Tangent meets bar) that took place on June 18 at 6.30 p.m. in the Campusmensa Poppelsdorf.

The Bonn Mathematical Society (BMG) is a registered association based in Bonn, which has set itself the task of promoting mathematics in and around Bonn. Specifically, the BMG pursues the following goals:
- Early career support: The BMG awards annual prizes for outstanding bachelor's theses in mathematics, both for graduates of a mathematics bachelor's degree and graduates of a mathematics education degree. In addition, the BMG supports Bonn Mathematics school activities in and around Bonn.
- Outreach: The BMG organizes an entertaining evening event related to mathematics every year, for example a "Valsche Vorträge Vestival" in 2022 and a "Circus Mathematicus" in 2023.
- Support for the library: A well-equipped and up-to-date mathematics library is essential for mathematical research and teaching. The BMG therefore sees it as its duty to support the mathematics library financially.
Every year, the BMG organizes an entertaining mathematics-related event on the evening of Corpus Christi. In the past four years, a Valsche Vorträge Vestival (2022), a Circus Mathematicus (2023), a Mathematical Pentathlon (2024) and a Mathematical Pub Quiz (2025) were organized.

Mathematical Pentathlon
In May 2024, the BMG organized a Mathematical Pentathlon, in which four teams competed in various mathematical disciplines (including a quiz and Powerpoint karaoke).

Circus Mathematicus
In June 2023, the BMG organized a Circus Mathematicus, an entertaining event with mathematical and acrobatic contributions by DorFuchs and Albrecht Beutelspacher, among others.

Valsche Vorträge Vestival
In June 2022, the BMG organized a Valsche Vorträge Vestival, at which the speakers deliberately misled the audience with entertaining false mathematical arguments.
Once a year, the BMG awards a prize for outstanding Bachelor's theses in mathematics. Students who have completed their Bachelor's degree by September 30 of the respective year will be considered. Two to three prizes for graduates of a mathematics bachelor's degree (including one female) and one for a graduate of the Bachelor's degree in mathematics education are awarded. The prize consists of a certificate and a monetary prize.
The following students were awarded a bachelor's prize for outstanding achievements in the 2022/23 academic year:
- Thesis title: Contributing to the Formalization of Carleson’s Theorem
- Advisor: Prof. Dr. Floris Van Doorn
- Thesis title: Uncertainty Quantification of Eigenvalues with the Contour Integral Method
- Advisor: Prof. Dr. Jürgen Dölz
- Thesis title: Starke Approximation in algebraischen Gruppen
- Advisor: Prof. Dr. Valentin Blomer
- Thesis title: Die Mathematik von Sudokus
- Advisor: Dr. Antje Kiesel
