The lecture series is intended as a guide for the 3rd/4th Bachelor semester and for the 'Mathematische Vertiefungen' in the Teacher Education program. In this event, the introductory lectures of the second year of the Bachelor's program Mathematik will be presented. The teachers who will conduct these lectures in the upcoming semester will provide information on the essential content and the required prerequisites. Furthermore, the practical training courses of the Bachelor's program will be introduced and, in the summer semester, the Bachelor-Master Office Mathematics offers study advice before the 3rd semester. The lecture series usually takes place on two afternoons, in the 2nd half of January and in late June/early July. You will find the current schedule for June/July 2026 linked below. Take advantage of the opportunity to inform yourself about to find out about the further course of your studies and to tailor your study program for the next semester!

A set of amendments to the examination regulations of the Mathematics degree programs will come into effect in the 2026/27 winter semester. These regulations will apply to all students enrolled in bachelor's, master's, and teacher training programs of Mathematics from October 1, 2026. The most important changes and their consequences will be explained at this information event. You can find a summary of the information in advance in a leaflet.

In a typical summer semester, two to three seminars 'Höhere Mathematik' (MB04) are offered. The lecturers present their seminars in an information event. This usually takes place in the second half of January. All interested students can then register for the seminars using an online form. Once the entries have been evaluated, the allocation list will be published in the calendar so that you can see which seminar you are in.
