For the many outreach activities of Bonn Mathematics, we need many more volunteers in addition to the HCM school team to help on a voluntary basis, in particular to introduce students to mathematics and promote young talent. We are looking for mathematics students, PhD students, and postdocs to volunteer for the following activities in particular:
Assisting as a tutor at the Bonn Math Club, holding workshops in person or online in German on Saturdays at 2 p.m. (even just once per semester);
Assisting as a tutor at the International Math Club, holding online workshops in English on Saturdays at 12 p.m. (even just once per year);
Offering math competition trainings; the format, day, and frequency of the training can be determined by the volunteer;
Offering additional preparatory courses for early study of mathematics; the format, day, and frequency of the courses can be determined by the volunteer;
Assisting with Bonn Math Tournament (supervision, correction, setup and teardown) on the third Friday of every September;
Holding online workshops at Bonn Math Night on Pi Day (March 14).
