The Mathematical Salon is an evening event g that embraces the salon tradition of the 18th and 19th centuries. At that time especially, society women hosted invited writers, musicians, and sometimes scientists at private circles in their most sumptuous drawing-rooms.
The program consists of a mathematical lecture addressed to the general public and two short musical performances before and after the lecture. Afterwards, there is ample opportunity to interact with mathematicians while enjoying refreshments.
