Registration in the Department
All mathematics students must register once for the Bachelor's or Master's examination at the beginning of their first semester of study. This is a purely formal act, but it must be completed before you can register for and take a module examination.
Registration in the department is carried out by the respective examination office.
Registration for the Bachelor's or Master's Examination
- Subject specific students please come with the completed form and the complete documents within the specified deadlines to the Bachelor-Master Office Mathematics.
- Teacher training students please turn to the BZL for the registration in the Teacher Training Program.
Further Documents in the Bachelor's Degree Program Mathematik
Please bring the following documents with you in addition to the form:
- a copy of your university entrance qualification certificate (the copy does not have to be certified)
- a valid photo ID
- your valid student ID card.
Further Documents in the Master's Degree Program Mathematics for External Bachelor Graduates
If you did not obtain your Bachelor's degree at the University of Bonn, we require the following in addition to the form
- a valid photo ID
- your valid student ID card
- proof of your Bachelor's degree, consisting of
- the Bachelor's degree diploma
- the Bachelor's certificate or the final overview of all modules and grades included in your Bachelor's degree.
Note for External Bachelor Graduates
If the documents for your Bachelor's degree are still being issued after you have enrolled in the Master's degree program, you can
- register initially without these documents
(In any case, registration must be completed by the deadline in the first semester.) - submit the documents by the end of your first semester in the Master's degree program.
The following applies to copies of your documents:
- If you show us the originals for comparison, we will accept simple copies.
- If you do not have the originals with you, the copies must be certified.
Deadlines
Every semester there is a deadline for registering for the Bachelor's and Master's examinations in November and April respectively. The exact deadlines for the current semester can be found in the calendar.
